Minister of Agriculture receives Director of EU Chamber of Commerce in Cambodia

(Phnom Penh): Khon, Minister of Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries in the afternoon of May 25, 2018. However, these outputs are still relatively small compared to neighboring countries, which require agricultural mechanization, restricting cultivation, breeding, and modern technology to increase production productivity, reduce costs and labor, consistent with national growth, which has increased remarkably.

The minister stated that the current condo for the agro-industrial sector (manufacturing and processing), all that is limited, but the government has been building critical infrastructure to support and engage development partners and the private sector to invest to increase the value added relevant standards to ensure quality and safety of the market Due to export.

During that occasion, Mr. Amaud DARC appreciated the development of all sectors under the direction of the Royal Government and informed the Minister of the objective of the European Chamber of Commerce in Cambodia as the coordinator of the cooperation on investment and trade between the private sector and the Royal Government of Cambodia and the European Union.

Mr. Amaud DARC said that through the European Chamber of Commerce, there were 350 companies investing in all sectors in the Kingdom of Cambodia and ten relevant committees to enhance the business and investment environment in Cambodia.

On this occasion, Mr. Amaud DARC invited the Honorable Minister to be the President of the Public Forum in the future, and at the request of the Minister, he agreed to attend the invitation.

Mr. Veng Sakhon informed the delegation that through the efforts of the European Chamber of Commerce has strengthened the friendship, cooperation and cooperation between the European Union and Cambodia, especially in future investment and trade in agriculture.
